So I work for a large company. Which decided to offer free ice cream to all employees via an ice cream truck today. You should have seen all the grown men and women in suits going ape-shit for a free ice cream cone. I'm pretty sure I saw some elbows being thrown, and even line-cutting.
Anyhow, I thought the whole idea was awful. Is it just me, or doesn't it seem that whenever a company does something like this to "boost morale" or whatever, they're about to let a ton of employees go... or cut bonuses or something? Perhaps I'm too much of a skeptic.
I enjoyed my cup of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles just fine either way. ;-)
