But then I realized that her party is in like 3 months. And I've done nothing as far as figuring out what to do with it. Being as how I'm planning to DIY a lot of it, I should get on that. I decided to nix the bunnies because she's 1 and someone put the visual in my head of her yanking on a bunny's tail and it not taking too kindly to it... and I really can't spend $225/hour for some rabbits to crap in my back yard.
I started playing around with things I liked online and made some idea boards. And I think I really like this one:
Maybe I could add some touches of pink (hot pink?) in there for some more pops of color. What do y'all think?

So cute! A friend of mine is decorating her nursery in a bee theme, and it looks adorable. Pops of hot pink would look really nice. Or maybe teal/turquoise. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of DIY projects you tackle. My little guy will be sixth months old on Monday (faint), so I'll have to start thinking about this stuff in a few months.
I had a "queen bee" 1st b-day party for my daughter. The colors were yellow, orange, and hot pink so you can definitely add touches of pink. We had the absolutely cutest cake, it was 2 tier, pink with little bees and orange flowers and a big fondant queen bee on the top.
You could have bright pink Gerbers with Bees on them! too cute!
Very cute. Reminds me a lot of the bee themed crib bedding I loved while pregnant with Kendall.
Thanks for the encouragement, ladies! I tend to overwhelm myself easily, so it's great to hear past experiences and get ideas too.
